Sebastian Posch

born in Berlin and began his musical education at the age of five, initially on the violin, then on the horn. He began his studies with prof. Sebastian Weigle at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin, continued his studies with prof. Froydis Ree Wekre in Oslo, and then moved to prof. Christian-Friedrich Dallmann at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. In 2001 he was a student of the Orchestra Academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin, the following year he was hired as a full time horn player. Sebastian Posch was multiple 1st prize winner at the national competition „Jugend musiziert” and in 1999 he won the 3rd prize at the International Horn Competition in Stams / Austria. He was a member of Mahler Chamber Orchestra for many years with whom, in 2014 together with Radovan Vlatkovic he performed R. Schumann’s Konzertstueck for 4 Horns. Several times he was a tutor at the Orchestra Academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy. Since 2007 he has been a lecturer at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
