he graduated from the University of Szeged, then he was promoted to the class of the world-renowned trombonist Branimir Slokar in Freiburg. During his studies, he received a scholarship at the Berlin Radio Symphony. After graduating from Freiburg, he moved to Bern in Switzerland to continue his studies. One of the highlights of Mr. Gyivicsan’s career was the winning of the international competition in Porcia (Italy) in December 2003. From 2004, he was a member of the famous Slokar Quartet. He gives concerts and lectures in countries such as Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, Slovenia and the USA.
In 2010 he was a visiting professor in New York. In the years 2013-2015 he was a member of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2005 he has been a trombone professor at the University of Szeged.
