Alicja Kieruzalska

Born in Toronto, Canada. She studied by Marc Engelhardt at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (Germany) and at the Academy of Music in Warsaw by Bogumił Gadawski. In 2011 she completed with honours also her postgraduate studies in Stuttgart.
She attended masterclasses run by a.o. Dag Jensen, Marco Postinghel, Giorgio Mandolesi, David Seidel. She was a scholar of the Polish Ministry of Culture, the DAAD and the Music Foundation of State Bank of Karlsruhe. She was also a scholar of the Villa Musica – chamber music foundation (Germany). As a chamber and orchestral musician, she cooperated as principal bassoon with numerous ensembles, such as: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Hamburg and Stuttgart Opera, Kammerochester Heilbronn and Stuttgart, AUKSO and Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra.
Alicja Kieruzalska is the founder, bassoonist and coordinator of one of the ensembles of the National Forum of Music: LutosAir Quintet, a wind quintet composed of soloists from the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, one of the most active and versatile wind ensembles in Poland.
In years 2006 – 2009 she played for the Polish National Opera (Warsaw), 2009 – 2011 was a solo bassoonist of the Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus. Since 2010 she has been the principal bassoon of the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic.
